TNI dan BMKG Jalin Kerja Sama

JAKARTA – Dalam rangka mendukung tugas-tugas Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) dan Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG), TNI dan BMKG menjalin kerja sama  dalam bidang Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika.

Penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman (MoU) tersebut dilakukan oleh Panglima TNI Marsekal TNI Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. bersama Kepala BMKG Prof. DR. Dwikorita Karnawati di Mabes TNI, Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur, Jumat (31/1/2020).

Nota Kesepahaman yang ditandatangani antara TNI dan BMKG dimaksudkan untuk memberi dukungan legalitas formal, dengan ruang lingkup meliputi pemanfaatan data dan informasi, pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana, peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, penelitian dan pengembangan bersama serta pengamanan peralatan operasional.

Dengan adanya kerja sama antara TNI dan BMKG diharapkan dapat saling mendukung tugas dan fungsi masing-masing dalam upaya meningkatkan keselamatan serta keamanan di wilayah yurisdiksi Indonesia oleh TNI melalui penyediaan informasi BMKG.
