Pesawaran Lampung – Komandan Batalyon Infanteri 7 Marinir Letkol Mar Kanang Budi Raharjo M. Tr. (Hanla) melepas 9 Atlet Dayung Dragon Boat bertempat di Lapangan Mako Batalyon Infanteri 7 Marinir Ketapang Teluk Pandan Pesawaran, Jumat (31/01/2020).

Para Atlet tersebut direncanakan akan mengikuti kejuaraan tradisional Dragon Boat pada PON ke XX di Papua. Danyonif 7 Mar dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, “Ibarat kita seperti matahari yang tidak pernah berhenti dan lelah untuk memberikan sinarnya kepada manusia serta kepada semua mahluk hidup yang ada didunia ini,dia tidak peduli dengan waktu, dia akan berputar pada porosnya serta akan terus memberikan cahayanya. Harapan saya begitu juga dengan kita, dilihat maupun tidak dilihat, ada pimpinan maupun tidak ada pimpinan kita tetap berusaha memberikan yang terbaik yang bisa kita lakukan. “

“Pada pagi hari ini kita akan melepas dan memberangkatkan 9 Atlet Yonif 7 Marinir yang akan mengikuti PON ke XX di Papua, pada kesempatan ini ke 9 Atlet kita akan tergabung dengan KONI Sumatra Barat. Pada PON ke XX di Papua ini yang dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2020, Prajurit Yonif 7 Marinir ini akan bertanding di kelas Tradisional Dragon Boad dengan 12 pendayung putera dan 22 Mix pendayung campuran,” ujar Letkol Kanang.

“Saya mengharapkan para atlet Batalyon Infanteri 7 Marinir dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi kemajuan Olahraga Perairan khususnya di Batalyon Infateri 7 Marinir, Brigif 4 Marinir/BS, Korps Marinir dan TNI Angkatan Laut, kemudian untuk seluruh keluarga besar Batalyon Infanteri 7 Marinir agar memberikan doa, dukungan serta dorongan semangat kepada Prajurit yang akan berangkat melaksanakan pemusatan latihan di Padang bahwa prestasi tidak hanya dari sisi perang, dalam keadaan damai seperti ini prestasi – prestasi olah raga yang dapat kita lakukan, Jadilah atlet yang tercepat dan terdepan, tinggalkan lawan sejauh mungkin dan raih kemenangan serta jujur dan jaga sportifitas dalam bertanding, disamping itu saya tekankan untuk selalu menjaga nama baik satuan, jaga nama baik Korps, jaga nama baik TNI AL serta tetap jaga kekompakan,” harapnya.

Turut hadir dalam acara ini Pasiops Yonif 7 Marinir Mayor Mar Rinto Hutagaol, Pasipers Yonif 7 Marinir Kapten Mar Gardika Pradibyo, PJS Pasi Intel Yonif 7 Mar Lettu Marinir Iwanto para Komandan Kompi serta seluruh Perwira di jajaran Batalyon Infanteri 7 Marinir.(Dispen Komar)
