JAWA TIMUR – Presiden Jokowi berfoto bersama usai ratas dan peninjauan di PT PAL, Surabaya, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Senin (27/1).
Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menyampaikan bahwa pasar industri strategis pertahanan adalah di dalam negeri terlebih dahulu jika ada sisa baru kemudian diekspor ke luar negeri.
“Ya seperti PT. PAL ini sudah mengekspor ke beberapa negara, saya kira itu sudah bagus tetapi kita sendiri dulu, kita, pasar kita, kita penuhi,” ujar Presiden Jokowi saat memberikan keterangan pers kepada wartawan usai memimpin Rapat Terbatas (ratas) di PT PAL, Surabaya, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Senin (27/1).
Kepala Negara menyontohkan misalnya PT Pindad urusan peluru, penuhi pasar dalam negeri, PT. PAL juga kapal-kapal, kebutuhan dalam negeri semua penuhi dulu, baru setelah itu keluar untuk ekspor.
Lebih lanjut, Presiden menjelaskan bahwa dalam ratas yang telah berlangsung, alasan keinginan untuk mengembangkan industri strategis pertahanan adalah agar ke depan memiliki sebuah kemandirian.
“Sehingga tadi secara detail dibahas mengenai BUMN mana yang terlebih dahulu ingin kita dorong untuk maju dan nanti pada berikutnya BUMN yang kedua, yang ketiga, dan seterusnya,” ujar Presiden.
Hal lain yang dibahas, menurut Presiden, berkaitan dengan pembelian alutsista, bahwa industri strategis pertahanan ini harus diberikan prioritas terlebih dahulu dari Kementerian Pertahanan, dari Kementerian-Kementerian yang lain.
“Yang misalnya ingin membeli kapal misalnya, berikan pada PT. PAL, baik itu dari Kementerian Pertahanan, baik itu dari Kapolri, Pol Air misalnya, baik itu Bea Cukai dari Kementerian Keuangan, beli semuanya dari PT. PAL,” Presiden mencotohkan.
Dengan pesanan itu, Presiden berharap bukan hanya pesanan untuk 5 tahun tetapi untuk 15 tahun itu sudah harus dipastikan ada.
“Sehingga ada konsistensi kita dalam perencanaan, dalam pelaksanaan untuk membesarkan industri strategis pertahanan kita, arahnya ke sana,” jelas Presiden.
Soal Kapal Selam Alugoro, Presiden menyampaikan bahwa itu sebuah kerja sama yang bagus, ada transfer teknologi di dalam pembangunan Kapal Selam Alugoro.
“Ya kita harapkan pada suatu titik kita bisa mandiri, mengerjakan semuanya oleh anak-anak bangsa sendiri,” tutur Presiden.
